Job summary

Powers Health is seeking a System Administrator to manage daily operations for assigned applications and provide backup support for additional systems. You will act as the gatekeeper for changes and coordinate releases and patches in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires 3+ years in IT with vendor-built products, familiarity with hospital information systems, and strong TCP/IP and security knowledge. Collaboration with IT directors and clinical staff is essential for successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ IT experience with vendor-built products and application support.
• Strong background with Hospital Information Systems and workflow processes preferred.
• Experience with TCP/IP networks, cybersecurity controls, and perimeter controls preferred.
• Experience with information security tools such as packet capture utilities, log analysis engines, anti-malware and AV products.
• Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix, LDAP, virtualization.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities; able to work with clinical staff and IT teams.
• Information security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ required or to be obtained within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational aspects for assigned applications and act as gatekeeper for changes or enhancements.
• Provide Tier 3 support for Powers Health applications and coordinate releases/patch upgrades.
• Monitor logs, respond to alerts, refresh test environments, and plan planned downtimes.
• Collaborate with IT Directors, Analysts, and Technical teams to implement system changes.
• Coordinate system implementation activities including installations, upgrades and testing.
• Operate in a hybrid work setting supporting healthcare IT environments.
