Job summary

The Senior Systems Administrator at Maricopa County Recorder’s Office is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, and security of the organization’s enterprise infrastructure. This role leads complex projects, sets technical standards, and mentors IT staff to deliver high‑availability technology solutions for critical systems.

Participation in a rotating on‑call schedule is required to ensure continuous support.

Qualifications

Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience administering and supporting enterprise servers, virtualization, cloud services, identity platforms, storage, backups, containers, or related infrastructure technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications.
Must successfully complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification; must be eligible to vote in Arizona; background screening required.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, administer, maintain, and secure enterprise infrastructure.
Lead complex infrastructure projects and mentor IT staff.
Collaborate with development, cybersecurity, help desk, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Provide 24/7 on‑call coverage for critical infrastructure.
