Job Summary

This position is responsible for system build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications. It requires clinical or IT systems knowledge to develop and support high-quality care using the electronic health record. The role involves detailed investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality, analyzing workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues related to Epic software. The position also involves developing internal procedures for Epic applications, analyzing clinical and business operations, prioritizing system changes, and liaising with end users, third parties, and Epic staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments by applying current knowledge, following procedures, supporting projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and communicating progress.
• Engage in self-development and foster effective relationships, sharing resources and feedback, and adapting to change.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Provide first and second level support for enterprise systems, diagnosing and resolving incidents.
• Monitor system stability, availability, and performance, identifying issues and improvement opportunities.
• Assist team members with system problems and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform complex system configuration, participate in installation, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Support communication with users and vendors, define and test maintenance activities, and document system configurations.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience with EPIC or comparable health system software, or 2 years scripting/programming experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years in IT or operations, or equivalent work experience.
