Job summary

SAIC seeks a highly experienced Senior System Administrator to support US Space Force operations. The role focuses on maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars, integrating diverse components, located onsite in Colorado Springs, with domestic and international travel in the mix.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows/Linux servers, AD management, patching, and securing systems while troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Troubleshoot and analysis of problems with major systems such as VMware, storage systems, Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues.
• CompTIA Network+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, workstations and networked systems.
• Create, repair and manage user accounts, permissions, groups, Active Directory and access controls.
• Implement security controls, patch systems, manage protection and monitor vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switches and other network services. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation of hardware and software specification.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, verify recovery procedures, and document incidents through submission of deliverables.
