Job summary

SAIC in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, by performing maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to missile surveillance and space surveillance missions.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software for radar systems, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to agile development in a secure environment with an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and five (5+) years’ relevant experience.
• ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.
• Experience developing software with C/C++, Java, Python and FORTRAN.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develops and deploys software version releases for BMEWS/PAVE PAWS radar sensors.
• Designs, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Collaborates on data processing systems for storage, processing, and reporting.
• Supports integration, test, development, and execution of complex systems.
• Develops innovative technical solutions to complex problems.
• Troubleshoots and coordinates with engineers to sustain operational/test systems.
