Job summary

SAIC seeks a highly experienced Network Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in Colorado Springs, CO. You will perform maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to national defense, ensuring network integrity and readiness.

Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and upgrading networks, firewalls, and telecom equipment; maintaining backup and recovery capabilities; and translating operational needs into technical requirements for PARCS and UEWR

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience; security certifications accepted in lieu of degree.
Active Secret clearance required.
Experience with diverse HW/SW, COTS/GOTS, and specialty materials.

Responsibilities

Gives expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment.
Maintains network integrity and connectivity while complying with policies and ensuring backup/recovery capabilities.
Develops advanced engineering ideas and guides their development into a final product.
Performs highly advanced network design, development, and integration across project life cycle.
Applies engineering to complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices and system management tools.
