Peregrin Services, a trailblazer in business process automation for the financial services industry, is looking for a tech-savvy, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of our critical IT functions. This is a fully remote role for someone based in the Eastern or Central time zones. If you're an Azure/O365 wizard with a passion for improving IT infrastructure, policies, and user experiences, this one's for you.

At Peregrin, we’ve been transforming the way lenders manage debt and customer service since 2000. From collections to recoveries, IVR solutions to system integrations, we develop smart, scalable tech that supports credit card issuers and other lenders nationwide. We don’t just support financial systems, we reimagine them. We’re a tight-knit team of experts dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology, improving efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience for millions. And now, we’re looking for a tech-savvy teammate to help us take it even further.

The ideal candidate is a confident and capable IT professional who takes full ownership of their responsibilities, anticipates challenges before they arise, and actively contributes to long-term IT and business strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Systems, the Senior Systems Administrator will operate with a high level of independence and be a key driver of team success through initiative, insight, and execution. Your work will directly impact the security, efficiency, and scalability of the systems, ensuring they continue to exceed expectations for clients and partners.

️ What You’ll Own & Do:

  • Systems Operations & Monitoring: Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our enterprise systems- including Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Intune, SharePoint, and IaaS Windows servers.
  • Identity & Access Management: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive access management strategy across Azure AD and on-prem Active Directory. You’ll manage user account provisioning, permissions, and compliance-aligned access policies.
  • Infrastructure Planning & Improvement: Work with leadership and vendors to assess, plan, and deploy new IT systems and tools that align with business needs, enhance security, and support scalability.
  • Security & Compliance Oversight: Identify, report, and remediate vulnerabilities (e.g., via AlertLogic and SOC alerts). Ensure all systems meet industry compliance standards such as PCI, SOC2, and FFIEC.
  • Automation & Reporting: Create automated scripts and workflows to reduce manual tasks and streamline processes. Generate detailed reports on system health, usage, performance, and security.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain clear, up-to-date IT documentation including SOPs, technical diagrams, and user guides for internal systems and tools.
  • Vendor Management: Build on strategic relationships with external MSPs and software vendors through clear communication, documented SLAs, and regular project check-ins. Serve as the primary point of contact for issue escalation and service optimization to ensure vendor solutions align with organizational requirements.
  • SaaS Platform Management & Support: Monitor usage and integration of internal SaaS tools (Grammarly, Lucid, Keeper), public marketing tools (WordPress), and supporting infrastructure (DNS, etc.)
  • Remote Workforce Support: Lead tech onboarding and offboarding for employees, including account setup, permissions, equipment procurement/deployment, and training for remote tools and systems.
  • End User Support: Act as the primary responder for IT tickets and service requests, with a focus on quick, effective, and user-friendly resolutions. Escalate when needed and identify trends to improve support processes.
  • Scheduled & Emergency Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance after hours (approximately 4–6 times per year) and respond to urgent technical issues or security incidents outside of business hours as required.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of previous Help Desk, Service Desk, or MSP experience
  • 2+ years of prior Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in administering/configuring Office 365 environments including InTune device management, Defender, and the Purview compliance center
  • Experience managing on-prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience working in compliance-heavy environments (PCI, SOC2, HIPAA) and in the financial services sector
  • Proven critical thinking, long-term planning, and problem-solving abilities for complex IT challenges.
  • Background providing technical support in small to mid-sized SaaS organizations
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Practical experience with virtualized Windows servers as well as enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Hands-on experience and responsibility for delivering world-class remote end-user support
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking architecture, security principles, and best practices
  • Previous experience with any of the following platforms: Zerto, VMware Cloud Director, AlertLogic, SumoLogic, Qualys, Keeper, SentinelOne, AWS, Veeam, Monday.com, MS SQL Server, Adobe ColdFusion
  • Technical certifications (CISSP, CompTIA, CCNA, M365 Certified Administrator)

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000; based on background and experience
