Job summary

The People Placers is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join a manufacturing-focused IT team. This onsite role reports to the IT Manager and drives administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of critical enterprise systems across locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive systems administration in a multi-site enterprise.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools and Exchange Online.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Email administration and security expertise.
• Solid IT infrastructure and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers and core IT systems.
• Manage Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
• Support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and infrastructure health.
• Ensure security, backups, and performance monitoring; troubleshoot incidents.
• Collaborate with support teams and provide guidance on infrastructure improvements.
• Create documentation, SOPs, and system procedures.
