Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks an expert System Software Engineer with a strong background in Linux systems programming and C development. This hybrid role combines software development, system-level fixing, and direct support for internal and customer environments, focusing on Slurm and related HPC components.

You will design, debug, and optimize code while collaborating across Operations, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in C development and a related Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Strong memory management, pointers, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with GDB and performance profiling.
Solid understanding of Linux kernel interfaces, system calls, and file systems, including Automake.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles and agile methodologies; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with containers and GPU technologies.
Curious, self-motivated, eager to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

Maintain, improve and optimize software components in C.
Develop and maintain system-level and application-level code for Slurm including networking and device-level components.
Debug and fix complex Slurm issues related to reliability and performance.
Write clean, well-documented code following industry standards.
Collaborate with Operations, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams.
Provide direct technical support to internal teams or customers.
Develop automated tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
Stay current with C programming, compilers, build systems, and related tech.
