Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks an expert System Software Engineer with deep Linux systems programming skills. You’ll design and maintain Slurm in C, diagnose complex issues, and collaborate with Operations, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams to keep HPC and GPU-enabled environments running smoothly.

You will write reliable, maintainable code, develop automated tests, and stay current with compilers, build systems, and related tech. This hybrid role supports internal and customer-facing environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in C development and a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Solid memory management, pointers, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB and performance profiling.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel interfaces, system calls, and file systems including Automake.
• Experience with software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and optimize software components in C
• Develop and maintain system-level and application-level code for Slurm including networking and device level components
• Debug and fix complex Slurm issues related to reliability and performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards
• Collaborate with Ops, Infrastructure, and Deployment teams
• Provide direct technical support to internal teams or external customers
• Develop automated tests to ensure reliability and regression prevention
• Stay current with C programming, compilers, build systems and related technologies
