Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking an expert System Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Slurm-based components in C for Linux systems. The role combines software development, system-level fixes, and direct support for production environments.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in C development, strong knowledge of memory management and data structures, experience with GDB and performance profiling, and familiarity with Linux kernel interfaces.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in C development and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of memory management, pointers, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB and performance profiling.
• Solid understanding of Linux kernel interfaces, system calls, and file systems, including Automake.A

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and optimize software components in C.
• Develop and maintain system-level and application-level code for Slurm, including networking and device-level components.
• Debug and fix complex Slurm issues related to reliability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable code and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Develop automated tests to ensure software reliability and regression prevention.
