Job summary

The Boeing Company in Houston, TX is seeking an Experienced or Senior System Safety Engineer to join the team. You will develop analyses, safety requirements, and verifications to ensure ISS systems are safe for flight crews and on-orbit operations, coordinating with NASA and international partners.

Responsibilities include leading hazard analyses, reviewing system designs, producing safety documentation, and presenting to NASA and Boeing safety boards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
• Experience writing hazard reports.
• Experience presenting hazard reports to customer boards and/or review panels.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based hazard analyses at a system level with cross-functional safety team.
• Review system-level concepts and designs to ensure safety against NASA requirements.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation and support safety panel reviews.
• Identify and quantify safety risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare safety reports and recommendations for NASA and Boeing Safety boards.
• Collaborate with NASA experts to ensure hazard analyses and fault management meet contract requirements.
• Lead safety reviews and present rigorous safety approaches to review boards.
