Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a System Health Engineer III/Senior to join our asset management and maintenance support organization. You will evaluate equipment health, identify performance issues, and develop strategies to maximize reliability and longevity across the power system.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to implement data-driven recommendations, improve asset performance, and support long-range system plans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and testing strategies in transmission and distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with strategic asset management.
• Problem analysis/resolution techniques.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, practices and safety standards in the area of applicable engineering discipline.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Professional Engineer licensure (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering plans, designs, analyses, specifications, cost estimates and evaluations.
• Interface with customers and other departments to ensure objectives meet requirements, budget and schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members.
• Oversee engineering programs and coordinate corrective actions for healthy program elements.
• Lead small- to medium-scale projects including planning and scheduling.
