Job summary

Hostinger is seeking a System Engineer to help build reliable, scalable hosting infrastructure that powers millions of sites worldwide. You’ll work with a team of system, software, and network engineers to design, deploy, and optimize resilient systems that perform under pressure.

You’ll write playbooks, automate repetitive work, and share learnings across the team. The role emphasizes performance, simplicity, and ownership, with opportunities to grow through DevOps practices and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Linux OS experience.
• Proficiency with Ansible automation.
• Programming or scripting in Python or Go.
• Experience managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and caching systems.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like GCP.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals—DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features to speed, reliability, and scale of the hosting platform.
• Deploy and run infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Operate and observe systems through real metrics—availability, latency, performance, capacity, reliability.
• Refine and tune systems to reduce bottlenecks and improve reliability.
• Improve monitoring and alerting to catch symptoms before outages.
• Share knowledge with engineers to raise the bar for reliability.
