Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks an experienced System Engineer to provide operational support, testing, and sustainment for an enterprise web-based mission application in Fort Meade, MD. You will work with DevOps and engineering teams to monitor telemetry, deploy updates, and ensure high system availability across diverse environments.

Required is active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a technical degree, and 10+ years of related experience (or 14 years without a degree).

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of systems engineering/technical experience, or 14 years of experience without a degree.
• Experience configuring and maintaining enterprise Linux environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Support DevOps and software teams in testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting web application components and services.
• Collaborate with operations and development groups to formulate test plans and identify testing requirements.
• Triage reported operational anomalies and log issues via ticketing systems.
• Monitor application health, metrics, and telemetry dashboards.
• Execute installations, configurations, and upgrades across virtual and cloud environments.
• Provide technical assistance to end users via Jira Service Desk.
• Occasionally respond to after-hours escalations; travel CONUS/OCONUS 1–2 times per year.
