Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 in Columbia, United States, to provide Linux systems administration and critical support in a high-availability environment. The role requires TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph, and duties include routine Linux maintenance, monitoring, and incident remediation.

Core hours run 6:00 AM–6:00 PM with an on-call rotation 24/7 every 5–6 weeks and shift differentials. Base salary ranges from $145,000 to $172,000 with comprehensive benefits and retirement

Qualifications

Five+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience.
Strong command-line proficiency across Linux environments.
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine to moderately complex issues.

Responsibilities

System Administration: Linux OS administration, configuration, maintenance, and patching via CLI.
Pipeline & Messaging Management: oversee application, data, and messaging pipelines.
Troubleshooting & Remediation: isolate and fix infrastructure and OS defects.
Operational Readiness: maintain uptime and respond to alerts.
Collaboration & Handoffs: document operations and coordinate with team.
