Job summary

Zohorecruit in Columbia, MD is seeking a senior Linux Platform Engineer to build and maintain scalable developer platforms for rapid software delivery. You will focus on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability to ensure platform resilience.

The role requires strong Linux administration, Ansible automation, and collaboration with engineering teams to optimize deployment workflows while upholding security controls. TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or 14 years of Platform Engineering without a degree.
• Strong Linux system administration and command-line experience.
• Solid experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.

Responsibilities

• Platform Design & Maintenance: Architect, deploy, and maintain internal developer platforms and environments that support efficient application development and continuous deployment.
• Automation & CI/CD: Automate operational workflows using Ansible to reduce manual overhead and accelerate delivery.
• Observability & Performance: Monitor health and performance with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform defects.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce platform security controls and regulatory standards.
• Developer Experience: Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline deployment workflows and tooling.
