Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Network Engineer (Level 0) in the United States with active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph. The role covers maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of existing networks, following standard procedures and work instructions.

Key duties include network monitoring, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination. Requirements include an Associate degree in engineering technology and 2 years of related experience, or 4 years without the degree.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.
• Associate degree in engineering technology from an accredited college, PLUS two years of experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Substitution: Two additional years of network engineering experience may substitute for an Associate degree.
• Experience installing and configuring network devices across platforms such as Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper.
• Experience with Type-1 encryptors and inline network encryptors (e.g., TACLANES, KG-175).
• Familiarity with MPLS, BGP, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring & Alerting: Monitor data and voice system networks for messages, alarms, or operational issues; activate scripts upon alarm generation and determine issue severity.
• Maintenance & Operations: Execute scheduled maintenance routines and manage network lines per schedules.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Perform first- and second-level problem determination using predefined scripts; document results.
• Vendor & User Interface: Interface with users and network vendors to resolve issues.
• Equipment & Analyzer Operation: Operate network analyzers and WAN test equipment for diagnostics and testing.
• Instruction Adherence: Follow detailed work instructions to maintain network integrity and security.
