Job summary

JFL Consulting, LLC is seeking a skilled System Engineer to lead and support site configurations across secure government environments. This role focuses on configuring, deploying, and optimizing Linux and Windows systems, with hands-on server work, virtualization, and scripting in DoD-aligned environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years in systems engineering, DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II, and experience with RMF/STIGs, AD, DNS, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a systems engineering or infrastructure role.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, DNS, SSO, and authentication protocols.
• Experience with virtualization platforms ESXi, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Site Configuration & Infrastructure Management: on-site server, storage, and network hardware setup.
• Deploy and support Linux and Windows systems and virtualized environments.
• Apply system hardening, patching, logging, and backups across environments.
• Operate security platforms and monitor for vulnerabilities in RMF/STIG contexts.
• Develop documentation, diagrams, and compliance-ready reports.
• Automate tasks with Python, Bash, or PowerShell and support DoD frameworks.
