Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Senior Technology Consultant – System Administrator to join our on-site team. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and will primarily operate from a partner or customer office in a high-security environment.

You will monitor HPC systems, perform patching, manage support tickets, mentor junior staff, and ensure system availability and security posture across Linux clusters and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• In lieu of a degree, 11+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Clearance: Requires TS clearance; TS/SCI is preferred.
• Requires CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ or equivalents (RHCSA/RHCE/CISSP) for operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains the health of HPC systems, including compute, network, and storage.
• Plans and performs monthly system patching and semiannual operating system upgrades.
• Reviews, resolves, and responds to client support tickets.
• Maintains the client-required system security posture and supports installations.
