Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a High Performance Compute Linux System Administrator to provide technical leadership and support on customer projects at a Vicksburg, MS location, onsite. The role requires a TS clearance, Security+ and Linux+ certifications, and 5+ years of Linux admin with HPC experience.

The position involves on-call/weekend work, patch management, security posture maintenance, and collaboration with project teams to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years overall experience in computer science or related field
• CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Linux+ certifications required
• TS clearance required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system health of HPC compute, network and storage
• Review, resolve, and respond to client tickets
• Create, monitor, and close all support cases
• Maintain availability reports for SLA tracking
• Plan and perform monthly patches and 6-month kernel upgrades
• Maintain security posture required by the client
• Assist client with app installations
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues
• Document hardware repairs and manage part returns
• Maintain on-call schedule for 24x7x2/4 contracts
• Assist with hardware and system installation on new systems
