Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a System Administrator I to join our team in Maryland. The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY.

You will provide system administration solutions, author BOMs and diagrams, and collaborate with network/storage/server staff to meet capacity and user requirements. Requirements include DoD 8570 IAM Level I, 1+ year in modern OS/net architectures, certification/ accreditation experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or higher is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
• Experience in certification & accreditation, architecture development and risk assessment.
• Ability to optimize system operation and perform capacity planning.
• Ability to break down complex problems and create actionable plans.
• Experience configuring Linux, Unix, and Windows OS and related networking.
• Experience managing virtual servers via VMware or similar hypervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide system administration solutions for required capabilities.
• Create bills of materials, network designs, and installation documentation.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and server personnel on solutions.
• Respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user needs.
• Determine power, space, cooling, and funding requirements.
