Job summary

DCCA is seeking a System Administrator I in the Fort Meade area. The role focuses on supporting Linux, UNIX, and Windows systems, VMware virtualization, and troubleshooting across IT environments. You will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, assist with system configuration, and help maintain high availability for client/server infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience; or 10 years as System Administrator without a degree.
Experience supporting Linux/UNIX/Windows, VMware, scripting, and IT troubleshooting.
Desire to learn new skills and technologies.

Responsibilities

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification and resolution.
Communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
Support dispatch system and hardware issues through resolution.
Configure Linux/UNIX/Windows OS and load software; improve reliability and performance.
