Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The role involves maintaining and enhancing current application capabilities, identifying future needs, and eliminating overlaps.

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware, with expert knowledge of system administration

Qualifications

• Must hold DoD 8570 IA Tech/IAM Level 2
• Experience on a DoD/DIA RMF development team
• Understanding of Oracle and CENTOS based architecture
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph

Responsibilities

• Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
• Develop and deliver training to support applications
• Review documentation, witness IV&V results, troubleshoot problems and recommend improvements
• Support day-to-day IT operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for network devices and servers
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Escalate and communicate status to agency management
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Install/load OS and application software
• Isolate and resolve hardware/software problems across systems
• Troubleshoot and improve network and system reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies and migration efforts

Bachelor's degree in information technology or information management

High School Diploma/GED with 16 years of experience
