Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team in Dayton, OH. You will design and implement systems, manage SOA interdependencies, and lead day-to-day O&M, patching, backups, and access control for UNIX/Linux and Windows environments to improve reliability and security.

Applicants must hold TS/SCI with CI Poly and DoD 8570 IAT II/IAM II, with RMF experience. DevOps familiarity (GitLab CI/CD) and Xacta are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 compliant with IAT II or IAM II (IAT II preferred).
• Experience with RMF in DoD/DIA contexts.
• Expert knowledge of SOA interdependencies within complex systems.
• Proficient with Linux (CentOS) and Oracle environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer desktop and server systems in LAN/WAN, including account monitoring and security.
• Lead day-to-day O&M activities, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Support backups, recovery, and validation testing.
• Monitor accounts and access management; provide Tier 1/2 support.
• Escalate and communicate status to government management and customers.
• Support RMF/SSP activities, STIG implementation, and ATO processes.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; install software.
