Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Loan Specialist in New York, NY. This hybrid role supports the Credit Services Institutional Banking division with loan closing readiness, facility setup, and ongoing monitoring.

The position is based in New York with an expectation of 4 days onsite per week, hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET. You will interact with lenders, operations, and regulators to ensure accurate documentation and timely portfolio administration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in loan agency, syndicated loans, middle office, credit administration, or related financial services function.
• Experience reading and interpreting credit agreements and other complex lending documentation.
• Strong understanding of the syndicated loan lifecycle, including closings and portfolio monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding, facility setup, and activation of new and amended credit facilities.
• Interpret credit agreements and loan documentation to extract key terms.
• Own facility setup and maintenance across the loan lifecycle.
• Monitor loan portfolios and support covenant compliance.
• Collaborate with lenders, loan operations, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity and regulatory reporting readiness.
• Support migration to a new loan system with cross-functional teams.
