Job summary

Powell Houston-Canton is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Assembly Technician to assemble mechanical systems for power distribution equipment, following engineering drawings and client specs. You will perform inspections, support ship preparation, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced facility.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of manufacturing experience, tape measure reading skills, and a working knowledge of Oracle, MES, and True View.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Basic English communication (written and verbal).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; safe with a variety of tools.
• Experience with Oracle, MES, and True View for part/drawing lookup.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical systems for power distribution equipment from engineering drawings and requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections and follow standard work; escalate quality risks.
• Provide hands-on leadership for ship preparation and training teammates.
• Analyze engineering changes, determine root causes, and drive corrections.
• Track shortages and coordinate with QA/QC; complete final inspections.
