Powell in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Assembler to oversee the assembly of Switchgear and Breaker units. You will lead a small team, ensure quality per drawings, train junior staff, and drive on-time production through process discipline.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 4 years manufacturing experience, ability to read tape measures, and proficiency with common tooling and safety standards. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to ISO practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure precisely.
• Basic English language skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Oracle, MES, True View for parts and drawings.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical components per drawings and specs.
• Lead team members on ship prep and training.
• Perform in-process inspections and identify quality risks.
• Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes and discrepancies.
• Identify shortages and communicate with QA/QC.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and safety culture.
• Perform mechanical adjustments for switchgear/breakers.
• Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to ISO requirements.
