Job summary

Powell is seeking a Lead Switchgear Mechanical Assembler in a temperature-controlled manufacturing setting. You will assemble mechanical components from blueprints and customer specs, mentor teammates, and safeguard quality at every step.

You will lead ship-prep, perform in-process inspections, and coordinate with QA/QC to address part shortages and discrepancies, while maintaining a safety-first culture and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle, MES and True View to locate parts and drawings.
• Able to read engineering drawings and schematics and interpret them for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components for switchgear and breakers from drawings and specs.
• Lead team through ship prep; train and coach employees.
• Perform root cause analysis on engineering changes and resolve discrepancies.
