Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Divisional Switchboard Chief Engineer for Panelboard & Switchboards to lead technical direction, standards compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across CPA product lines. Remote work within the US is possible, with preferred sites in Sumter, SC; El Paso, TX; Morrisville, NC; or Smyrna, GA, and relocation to Sumter, SC available.

The role reports to Engineering Manager and requires 10–15 years of power distribution design experience, plus UL standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 to 15 years’ of product design experience in power distribution equipment with proven subject matter expertise in designing products that conform to UL standards (UL50, UL67, and UL 891).

Responsibilities

• Highest level technical expert in the product line.
• Define strategic direction and priorities for the division.
• Mentor others in technical specialties.
• Lead innovative products and concepts across the product line.
• Ensure tests and safety compliance for objectives.
