Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical sector, Commercial Products and Assemblies division seeks a Divisional Switchboard Chief Engineer for Panelboard & Switchboards. Role may be remote in the US, with relocation to Sumter, SC, El Paso, TX, Morrisville, NC, or Smyrna, GA.

Travel 10–25% is expected, reporting to Engineering Manager. As the technical expert, you define strategy, mentor teams, and lead cross‑functional projects to achieve objectives within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Engineering software/tools (AutoCAD, Enovia).
• No CPT/OPT/STEM OPT visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the highest level technical expert for the product line and consult across the organization.
• Define strategic direction, establish priorities, and mentor others in technical specialties.
• Drive innovations and next‑gen products to feed the roadmap and innovation funnel.
• Manage UL/CSA files and ensure product compliance and cross‑functional coordination.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and drive completion.
