Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s CPA division seeks a Divisional Switchboard Chief Engineer to lead the Switchboards/Panelboard product lines. This role can be remote within the US, with preferred sites in Sumter, SC; El Paso, TX; Morrisville, NC; or Smyrna, GA.

Travel up to 25% is expected as projects and collaborations span multiple sites. The Chief Engineer serves as a senior technical SME, shaping roadmaps, mentoring engineers, and driving next-generation concepts while ensuring UL/CSA standards

Qualifications

• Product design experience (10-15 years) in power-related equipment.
• Strong proficiency with engineering software/tools such as AutoCAD and Enovia.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for the Divisional Switchboard product line across the CPA group.
• Define strategic direction and priorities; indirectly lead site teams to meet objectives.
• Mentor others in technical disciplines and drive innovations across the product line.
• Lead feasibility studies, ensure projects meet time and budget targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to resolve issues.
