Job summary

Eaton's Power Systems Controls team in Sumter, SC is hiring a Switchboard Controls Engineer to design, program, test, and support automated control and power management systems for critical switchboard applications. Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or military training.
• At least 1 year of controls experience in power distribution or 2 years in other applications.
• No relocation; within 50 miles of Columbia or Sumter, SC; Military exempt.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and BOMs per switchboard designs.
• Consult with plant and field sales engineers on equipment applications.
• Provide sketches and directions to Electrical Designers.
• Create BOM and select components.
• Develop PLC, ATC-900/DTSC-200A, and HMI software for AP Transfer applications.
• Prepare submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Factory testing and debugging of switchboard control systems.
• Support field start-ups as needed.
