Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Swiss CNC Programmer & Setup Specialist in Massachusetts. You will review drawings, program Citizen and Star Swiss‑type CNC lathes, and optimize processes to meet quality and takt time. You will set up tooling and run first pieces with metrology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining training preferred.
• CAD/CAM programming experience is desirable.
• Strong math skills and GD&T reading ability.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, 3D models, work orders, materials, and specs to map machining approaches and sequences.
• Program Citizen and Star Swiss-type CNC lathes using CAD/CAM; prove out, edit, and optimize code.
• Set up tooling, offsets, and on‑machine edits to hit quality and takt time.
• Run and validate first‑piece parts with precision measurement against drawings and GD&T.
• Create setup sheets, tooling lists, and process documentation; maintain records.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues; drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced operators and interns.
• Communicate process changes and production concerns with teammates and leadership.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow ITAR/CMMC and safety regulations.
