You will develop, prove out, and maintain CNC programs, set up tooling and offsets on multi-axis machines, mentor junior operators, and ensure process controls and first-piece inspection comply with ISO, ITAR, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years setting up and operating Citizen and Star Swiss-type CNC lathes.
• Expert blueprint reading, GD&T, cutting tools, speeds/feeds, work holding, and inspection practices.
• MS Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Independent, organized, team-oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Programming & Setup: Review blueprints/GD&T, develop, prove out, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM. Set up tooling, work holding, offsets, and machine adjustments.
• Quality & Documentation: Verify setups via first-piece inspection; create and maintain setup sheets, approved CNC programs, and process-control documents under revision control.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and programming issues; perform preventive maintenance and order replacement tooling.
• Mentorship & Communication: Train and mentor junior operators, setup personnel, and interns; communicate process changes and corrective actions to management.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean work areas; adhere to ISO quality, ITAR, CMMC, information security, and workplace safety regulations.

The Role

• Pay Range: $42.00 – $50.00 / hour
• Schedule: 1st Shift Only | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Experience Required: 5+ years with Citizen & Star Swiss-type lathes
• Compliance Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (due to Federal/Government Contractor Regulations)

Position Summary

You will develop, prove out, and maintain CNC programs; set up and operate Citizen and Star multi-axis Swiss-type turn/mill machines; and mentor less-experienced team members.

• Mentorship & Communication: Train and mentor junior operators, setup personnel, and interns. Proactively communicate process changes, irregularities, and corrective actions to management.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean, orderly work areas. Strictly adhere to ISO quality, ITAR, CMMC, information security, and workplace safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years setting up and operating Citizen and Star Swiss-type CNC lathes.
• Technical Skills: Expert in blueprint reading, GD&T, cutting tools, speeds/feeds, work holding, and inspection practices. Strong mathematical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Software: Proficient in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software (ESPRIT experience is highly desirable). Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational, technical, apprenticeship, or machining-program training preferred.
• Work Style: Independent, organized, team-oriented, and capable of managing shifting priorities to meet production goals.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand regularly and move throughout the work area.
• Handle small parts and tools, and lift/move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Sufficient visual acuity (with or without correction) to read technical drawings, operate controls, and inspect fine surface/dimensional details.
