If you’re seeking a place to grow alongside great people, we’d love to meet you.A day in this roleBegin by reviewing drawings, 3D models, work orders, materials, and specs to map out machining approaches and operation sequences.Program Citizen and Star multi‑axis Swiss‑type turn/mill machines using CAD/CAM; prove out, edit, and continually optimize code.Set up and operate equipment: tooling and workholding selection, offsets, on‑machine edits, and adjustments to hit quality and takt time.Run and validate first‑piece parts with precision measurement and inspection against drawings, GD&T, and applicable standards.Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, revision‑controlled CNC programs, production records, and process documentation.Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues; perform assigned PM; drive continuous improvement in quality, throughput, and reliability.Monitor consumables and tooling life; request replacements or additions as needed.Coach and mentor less‑experienced operators, setup personnel, department teammates, and student interns.Communicate process changes, irregularities, corrective actions, and production concerns with teammates and leadership.Keep machines, tools, gages, and work areas clean, orderly, and safe.Follow company policies and procedures, including ISO quality requirements, ITAR, CMMC, information‑security practices, and safety regulations.Pitch in on other related tasks as assigned.Who you areHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational/technical/apprenticeship/machining training preferred.Proficient with CAD/CAM and comfortable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Fluent reading engineering drawings and GD&T; solid understanding of machining methods, cutting tools, workholding, speeds/feeds, inspection, and troubleshooting.Strong math and mechanical aptitude with excellent organization, communication, and time management.Independent and team‑oriented; able to prioritize, meet production goals, and mentor others.Experience5+ years hands‑on with Citizen and Star Swiss‑type CNC lathes.CAD/CAM programming experience is highly desirable.Physical requirementsRegular standing and movement in the work area; handling small parts and tools; lifting/moving up to 40 lbs; visual acuity (with or without correction) sufficient to read technical information, operate controls, inspect small features, and identify fine dimensional or surface details.Schedule & compensationWe operate a single first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.Hourly compensation typically ranges from $42–$50 based on skills and experience.BenefitsBlue Cross Blue Shield medical & dental coverage401(k) with employer matchTuition reimbursementMedical and dependent care FSAsGrowthShow strong technical performance, dependability, judgment, communication, and leadership potential, and you may be considered for advancement into a lead position based on company needs and your demonstrated performance.Tools & proficienciesCNC Programming; G‑CodeCNC Machine Setup & Changeover; Machine Setups for Production RunsPrecision Measurement & Hand MetrologyEquipment you’ll use: CNC Swiss Lathes (Star, Citizen), CAM Software (Esprit), CNC Lathe (5+ axis), Calipers & MicrometersLegal & eligibilityThis is a non-exempt, hourly position with a pay range of $42-$50/hour.Due to Federal/Governmental Contractor Regulations, all applicants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents
