Job summary
Jobot is a rapidly growing precision machine shop specializing in high-tolerance components for aerospace, medical device, and defense industries. This hands-on role centers on setup, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of Citizen, Star, and Tsugami Swiss-type CNC machines.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Swiss CNC experience, strong setup skills, blueprints/GD&T proficiency, and the ability to read and edit G-Code. Programming is a plus, but setup-focused machinists are welcome.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Swiss CNC machining experience.
- Hands-on Swiss CNC setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience with Citizen/Star/Tsugami is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete machine setups on Swiss-style lathes (Citizen, Star, Tsugami).
- Load tooling, set offsets, perform first-piece inspections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and specs.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and processes.
- Make program edits at the machine to optimize performance.
- Monitor production runs and perform in-process inspections.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement and tooling improvements.
- Document setup information and process changes.
