Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a highly autonomous Senior Electrical Systems & Sustaining Engineer to anchor a new sub-team within our EE organization. You will lead technical execution for cross-domain CAPA issues, from lab validation to root-cause analysis, and own the engineering change lifecycle.

This role demands hands-on hardware experience, a systems-level mindset, and the ability to collaborate with Reliability, Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing teams to improve hardware reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering or reliability engineering.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience may substitute for the 8+ years requirement.
• Strong foundational expertise in complex electronics and hardware systems.
• Hands-on lab experience with test benches and measurement equipment.
• Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Experience with ECAD tools and the full hardware development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• CAPA leadership and escalation ownership for EE issues.
• Hands-on lab diagnostic validation to reproduce and validate issues.
• Lead root-cause and failure analysis across electrical domains.
• Design ownership for reliability and ECAD revisions.
• Represent EE in cross-functional CAPA Tiger Team.
• Technical triage and strategy for complex electrical challenges.
• Metrics and infrastructure management for MTBSwap and field reliability.
• Capture knowledge and develop standards for scalable processes.
