Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead the Richland office survey department, overseeing projects, managing budgets, and supporting business development. The role requires a Washington PLS with 8+ years of field and office surveying experience and strong client-facing skills.

Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and Carlson Survey is essential, with growth opportunities into management and strategy.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington state Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience overseeing and performing land surveys as a registered PLS.
• Experience in boundary, topographic and construction surveying in office production.
• Proven business development experience and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil3D and Carlson Survey.
• Desire for growth and taking on management responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Richland Survey Department and projects.
• Oversee and perform land survey and mapping functions.
• Supervise survey technicians and field crews.
• Plan and coordinate work of field staff.
• Review and certify completed work to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to identify project needs and prepare scopes and proposals.
• Secure additional survey projects.
