Job summary

Soltesz is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Rockville team. This role combines technical surveying expertise, project coordination, client interaction, and survey crew leadership in support of residential, commercial, and right-of-way projects.

Responsibilities include overseeing topographic and boundary surveys, preparing legal descriptions, coordinating crews, and ensuring deliverables meet professional standards while collaborating with clients and municipalities across the region.

Qualifications

Registered Land Surveyor in Maryland.
10+ years of surveying and land development experience.
AutoCAD proficiency; MicroStation experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of agency requirements and surveying standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Montgomery County experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, as-built, and construction layout surveys.
Prepare plats, easements, legal descriptions, and metes and bounds descriptions.
Coordinate daily activities of survey crews.
Work closely with clients, municipalities, and project teams.
Support land development and right-of-way projects throughout the region.
Ensure high-quality survey deliverables and compliance with professional standards.
