Job summary

Soltesz is seeking a Team Leader to join our Lanham office, where you will lead civil engineering and land development projects, supervise staff, manage financial performance, and deliver outstanding results for clients.

You will mentor engineers and designers, coordinate staffing and project priorities, and collaborate with senior leadership to support business development and client relationships in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Active Maryland Professional Engineer registration is required.
• Eight or more years of progressive civil engineering and land development design experience.
• Proven staff management and mentoring experience.
• Strong technical plan development and review capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, delegation, and communication skills.
• Suburban Maryland land development experience preferred.
• Prince George’s County experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development projects.
• Serve as a trusted client contact.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and designers.
• Coordinate staffing, workloads, and project priorities.
• Oversee project quality, schedules, budgets, profitability, and invoicing.
• Prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, and fee estimates.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on company goals.
• Support business development and client relationship growth.
