Job summary

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead the Land Surveying Department in New York City. The role requires coordinating survey operations for infrastructure projects in NY/NJ, supervising field crews, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with DOT standards.

You will mentor staff and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while collaborating with clients, engineers, and teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Progressive surveying experience in transportation projects.
• Proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Familiarity with NY/NJ DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage survey operations for infrastructure projects in NY and NJ.
• Oversee field crews using GNSS-RTN, total stations, Mobile LiDAR, and terrestrial scanners.
• Define survey scopes, deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements with clients and engineers.
• Develop project-specific survey methodologies in line with NYDOT/NJDOT standards.
• Ensure data accuracy via field QA/QC and review preliminary data.
• Establish and verify survey control networks; integrate with state plane systems.
• Create and manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Support data processing workflows: point cloud registration, surface generation, and deliverables.
• Prepare technical docs like field reports and control summaries.
• Maintain communication with regulatory agencies and clients on access and safety.
• Mentor staff in advanced survey techniques.
