Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to join our Los Angeles Survey team. This is a primarily office-based role with a hybrid schedule after training, focusing on managing projects, providing technical leadership, building client relationships, and mentoring team members.

Established in Los Angeles in 1968, KPFF offers boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, construction staking, mapping, and related services.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
• Experience independently managing multiple surveying projects, including schedules and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and mapping.
• Proficiency with CAD software used in surveying and mapping.
• Ability to lead and mentor survey staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple surveying projects concurrently, overseeing schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys and related work.
• Direct office and field survey personnel to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Review survey data and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Sign or seal survey documents per licensure requirements and standards.
• Serve as primary client contact, managing expectations and progress updates.
• Collaborate with civil engineering teams to support design and construction.
