KPFF Consulting Engineers in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join our survey team. This is a primarily office-based role for a technically skilled survey professional who thrives on managing survey assignments, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with field crews and engineering teams.

Established in Los Angeles in 1968, KPFF provides land surveying and mapping services for projects of all sizes, working closely with civil engineering teams as well

Qualifications

• Minimum ~10+ years of land surveying experience with independent project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic surveying, staking, and mapping practices.
• Experience preparing and reviewing survey calculations and deliverables.
• Proficiency with CAD software used in surveying and mapping.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical execution of multiple surveying assignments and deliverables.
• Coordinate with field crews and project managers to meet schedules.
• Prepare ALTA/NSPS surveys, maps, legal descriptions, and staking calculations.
• Review field data and boundary records, resolving technical issues.
• Communicate project requirements and progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with civil engineering teams to support design and construction.
• Attend site visits as needed to assess conditions and plan field activities.
• Ensure quality and compliance with applicable surveying standards.
