Job summary

SWE Solutions in Lombard, IL is hiring a Survey Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee surveying operations for engineering, construction, and land development projects. You will lead field and office staff, ensure data quality, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, client liaison, and implementing best practices with GPS/GNSS, total stations, CAD tools, and UAVs. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in surveying/geomatics or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive surveying experience.
• 3+ years in management or supervisory roles.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred or required by jurisdiction.
• Experience with surveying CAD software and modern field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field and office surveying activities.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate survey projects to meet budgets and timelines.
• Review survey data, plats, maps, and legal descriptions for accuracy.
• Supervise and develop survey staff and field crews.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with surveying standards and safety policies.
• Support proposals, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Implement best practices and quality control procedures.
