Job summary

Metro Engineering Solutions, LLC is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Midwest-based team. The role focuses on translating project objectives between office and field and directing all field survey duties while performing necessary field calculations.

Responsibilities include operating survey instruments, recording data, preparing notes, and leading crews with safety, efficiency, and professionalism. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• SIT or PS license preferred.
• Minimum five years of surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain surveying and data collection instruments.
• Record survey results and verify data accuracy.
• Transmit survey data to office and field locations daily.
• Prepare legible field notes and staking cut sheets.
• Lead survey crew with a safety-focused, professional approach.
• Travel may be required up to 100% in urban and remote areas.
