Woolpert seeks a Survey Crew Chief to join our Illinois-based Survey team. This technical leadership role guides field crews on boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys, with up to 80% travel across the Western United States.

Responsibilities include operating total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and data collectors; mentoring junior crew members; and ensuring data quality per project standards. A related degree or five years’ experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or five years of surveying experience.
• Proficient in operating survey instruments.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of time.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey crew to conduct field surveys (boundary, topo, construction, as-built).
• Operate survey equipment (total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, levels).
• Prepare field notes and sketches documenting survey activities.
