Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a skilled Survey Manager to lead field teams on large heavy civil projects across the Central US region. You will oversee surveying operations, develop plans, and ensure accuracy and safety across projects ranging from $50M to $1Billion.

You will manage crews, leverage Trimble and CAD tools, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver precise layouts, data processing, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; PLS certification asset.
• 7+ years field construction survey experience; lead survey crews.
• Proficiency with Trimble Access/Business Center is required.
• Experience with GPS, total stations, LiDAR, and drones.
• Advanced CAD/data processing in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation; GIS experience will help.
• Strong communication, safety leadership, and ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage surveying operations for construction of assigned projects with accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and implement surveying plans and schedules in collaboration with PMs and engineers.
• Lead a team of surveyors; provide training and mentorship.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure design intent alignment.
• Utilize GPS, total stations, LiDAR, and drones for data capture and analysis.
• Conduct QC checks to verify survey accuracy and contract compliance.
• Manage survey data processing and BIM integration; maintain detailed reports and logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on all sites.
• Prepare survey reports and documentation for project records.
