Job summary

Rick Engineering Company in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveys and coordinate the work of a crew, applying coordinate geometry, and operating survey equipment on landmark projects. The role requires 3–5 years as a Party Crew Chief, an A.S.

in surveying or seven years of equivalent experience, LSIT/RLS a plus. Travel 2–3 days every few months; opportunity for extended out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Party Crew Chief, plus an A.S. in surveying or seven years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience must include construction performance, topographical, boundary, and aerial control surveys.
• Proven ability to perform coordinate geometry calculations using a hand-held programmable calculator and direct the work of others.
• Must be familiar with use and maintenance of survey equipment including total stations and GPS systems; Trimble Access a plus.
• Preparation of cut sheets and ability to read construction plans.
