Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Survey Technician to support office and field staff by processing information and producing final land surveying deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and utilize the latest A/E/C technology to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.

You will prepare plats and drawings, monitor field crew, and conduct quality checks while coordinating with supervision to meet project demands. The role is based in Fort Smith, AR with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing.
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus however it is not necessary.
• S.I.T. Certification is a plus however, it is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Process data per SAM standards, evaluate accuracy and sufficiency, and ensure compliance with project principles under supervision.
• Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
• Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.
• Perform quality control checks of plats, drawings, and deliverables produced by others.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet client-specific demands.
